Trauma-informed + attachment-based therapy for messy humans.
Because relationships are messy, being human is messy, + we are all just trying to do our best given the resources, skills, and nervous systems we have.
Cady Brimacombe, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) #18814
MACP, Certified Grief-Informed Professional
Hey, I’m Cady (she/her).
I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), a mother, a creative, and a messy human. Whether you are struggling with big emotions, hopelessness, or feeling like you don’t know who you are anymore–I can help you sort through the pieces of who you are becoming.
Therapy gives you the space to be seen in your despair, your growth, and your hope. Together, we will honour where you have come from, where you are now, and where you are going. We will honour the messy process of being human.
You don’t have to go through it alone.

Perinatal Mental Health
Becoming a new parent can create a huge shift in self-identity and relationships. Anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and trauma can make new parenthood complex. Struggling with infertility, reproductive trauma, or infant loss can make it more complex. Making space for the layers of parenthood can ease stress and build hope.
-
Attachment + Relationships
Relationships can be challenging, especially when attachment patterns from childhood influence adult relationships. Seeking reassurance, miscommunication, or difficulty setting boundaries can be some of the ways our attachment history influences the present. Building secure attachment can create new opportunities for connection.
-
Grief + Loss
Losing a loved one is heart-wrenching. It can lead to feelings of numbness, anger, guilt, or even relief. Grief and loss may also show up in the loss of a pet, a job, a breakup, a miscarriage, or a medical diagnosis. Feeling lost about the future is normal. Know that in despair, there can also be hope.

Trauma
Trauma impacts our nervous system, whether it is recent, from the past or related to complex relationships. Understanding how the nervous system responds to threat, and making space to rewire the brain with neuroplasticity can desensitize triggers and create space for growth.
