About Cady

Hey, I’m Cady (she/her). I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), a mother, a creative, and a messy human. I support clients with perinatal mental health, attachment and relationships, grief and loss, and trauma. I believe that fundamentally we are all good humans just trying to do the best we can given the resources, skills, and nervous systems we have. Although being human is messy and hard, there can also be growth and hope. And most importantly, you don’t have to go through it alone.

Counselling Approach

  • I prioritize relational safety and nervous system stabilization in sessions with clients. My counselling approach is informed by attachment theory, trauma-informed neuroscience, parts work, and systems thinking.

I believe that humans are relational beings and our wellness is informed by understanding how we relate to ourselves, others, and the world through our attachment and nervous system patterns.

  • I understand that grief is unique and presents in many ways, and that grief occurs throughout our life, not just when a loved one dies. I help clients name, identify, and normalize their grief while incorporating coping strategies and making new meaning of the loss. Grief can be a complex human experience. Together we make space for both despair and joy.

  • I engage clients as active participants in the therapy process tailoring each session to the client’s needs. Sessions are paced around client readiness and feedback is encouraged. I aim to provide a safe, compassionate, non-judgemental space where clients feel accepted and understood.

I am LGBTQIA2S+ inclusive and work to be culturally considerate and anti-oppressive. I value approaching healing within the client’s worldview and with wisdom from client lived experience.
