February 2026 - A practice update.
I'm taking maternity leave starting March 20, 2026 to focus on connecting with my new little one over the spring and summer months. I'm wrapping up with clients and bridging them to other resources/referrals with a plan to start part time client work again in October 2026.
So... I am no longer accepting new clients. If you have a client looking for perinatal support, I do have a waitlist started. Just send me an email and I can add them to my waitlist. My plan is to reach out to the waitlist in September when I get my books open again.
Otherwise, I am happy to provide resources and referrals for perinatal wellness support! One incredible option for perinatal support here in Calgary (including psychology, pelvic floor physiotherapy, massage, acupuncture and more) is Moss Postpartum House. Another option is the Canadian Perinatal Mental Health Trainings provider directory listing perinatal practitioners across Canada.

February also marks 1 year of private practice. I am proud to have made it to this milestone and will be celebrating this weekend with a glass of non-alcoholic wine. Cheers to the future! 🥂
I may send the occasional newsletter through maternity leave, but likely won't be back in your inbox again until this fall. May your spring and summer be well. 🌷
Upcoming Events
☕️ Therapist Breakfast - Feb 12 @ 9:30am, Monki Breakfast Club + Bistro Inglewood - please RSVP if you plan to attend! This will be the last event I schedule until the fall.

I am currently reading How To Keep House While Drowning by KC Davis, LPC (I'm 65% of the way through and 100% obsessed). It discusses neurodiverse and disability-inclusive strategies to care work and is written with the ADHD brain in mind. There are also tons of resources and worksheets on their website.
The health-tech industry often frustrates me, and this podcast series from Bloomberg about IVF and the US health-tech company Kindbody is heartbreaking and eye-opening. IVF regulation and access is different here in Canada, but this podcast offers a glimpse into the world of patients navigating IVF and how important health regulation can be for client care and outcomes.
The APA and World Wildlife Fund are co-hosting a free webinar series on climate change and mental health. The first webinar, The Psychology of Distress, features Dr. Panu Pihkala and Dr. Ashlee Cunsolo (I have come across their work in my research and I find it fascinating). The webinar is Tuesday, Feb 10 at 8am MST (I know, early...), but I thought you might like to join me with a coffee in hand. Can you tell I'm excited for this webinar?
I've decided to create a newsletter archive on my website so that any resources I share in my newsletter have a more evergreen home. I will be updating it with 2025's newsletters over the next month or so. Access the archive here.
That's all for this month. If you read something that sparked joy in this newsletter, can you forward it to a friend who might like it too?
Deepest thanks.
